Office Administrator (Marine Electronics)

Reporting to the Sales & Administration Manager (Marine Electronics)

Responsibilities

  • To assist and support the Marine Manager in all general administrative duties

  • Assist with customer enquiries

  • Maintain and update records and certification reports and maintain relevant job cards

  • Liaise with accounts department for all invoicing matters

  • Assist with other general administration activities when requested by management

  • Compliance with company HSEQ policies

  • Able to work on own initiative, be self-motivated and disciplined

  • Maintaining good housekeeping within the office area

 

Competencies / Qualifications / Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office applications essential

  • Previous experience in a similar environment desirable

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written

Marine Electronics Engineer

Marine Electronics Engineer

Key Requirements:

  • Carry out all Marine Electronic installations and maintenance effectively on a wide range of equipment including radio and satellite communications, VHF, radar and navigational aids in accordance with accepted trade practice. 

  • Work on your own initiative and good communication skills are essential.

 

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Maintenance and Service background in a Marine Electronics environment

  • GOC and Offshore certification desirable

 

This is a permanent, full time role based in Aberdeen with frequent travelling in and around the local area as necessary.  A company vehicle will be provided to the successful applicant. Therefore, applicants must hold a current UK driving licence.

Electric Motor Repairers and Winders

Electric Motor Repairers and Winders

Key Requirements:
The ideal candidates will be fully time served and experienced Electrical Motor Repairer with a solid background in AC and DC Motor repairs.
The ability to work on your own initiative, good communication and problem-solving skills are also required. 

Experience:
Previous experience in overhaul & refurbishing of AC/DC motors and other electro-mechanical equipment, including medium and high voltage equipment.
Experience on EX motors is advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided.

TDC’s Quality Coatings division specialises in surface preparation and specialist coatings to a wide range of environments including, Subsea, Topside and splash Zone. Working closely with market leading paint manufacturers, we have the knowledge, experience and capabilities to meet and exceed our client’s needs while producing work of the highest standard.  We are currently recruiting within the Quality Coatings Department for the following personnel:

 

Industrial Spray Painter

The ideal candidate must be experienced in Industrial Spraying and Blasting who is methodical and process driven with great attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Role will include but is not limited to:

  • Preparing parts for painting

  • Carry out airless spray painting in accordance with clients’ specifications and accepted trade practice

  • Operating and maintaining airless spray-painting equipment

  • Practicing good housekeeping – including correct paint storage and maintaining clear paper records

  • Reviewing work practices and suggesting ways to reduce lead times and costs

Experience:

  • Proved experience in industrial airless spraying

  • Ability to prioritise workload when up against deadlines

  • Ability to work as part of a team and under own initiative

  • Valid forklift truck licence desirable but not necessary

Shot Blaster and Industrial Spray Painter

The ideal candidate must be experienced in Industrial Spraying and Blasting who is methodical and process driven with great attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Role will include but is not limited to:

  • Preparing parts for Shot Blasting to various standards in accordance with clients’ specification and accepted trade practice

  • Shot-blasting, Glass Bead Blasting & Garnet Blasting

  • Preparing parts for painting

  • Carry out airless spray painting in accordance with clients’ specifications and accepted trade practice

  • Operating and maintaining blasting and airless spray-painting equipment

  • Practicing good housekeeping – including correct paint storage and maintaining clear paper records

  • Reviewing work practices and suggesting ways to reduce lead times and costs

Experience:

  • Experience of blasting in a similar environment

QHSE Manager for TDC Parsons Peebles

 

TDC Parsons Peebles is a globally recognised manufacturer and repairer of high voltage electric motors and generators based in Rosyth, Scotland. We require key personnel to work as part of a team with experience in the following:

Key Requirements:

  • Review and develop all aspects of QHSE activity, ensuring implementation across the business

  • Responsible for Company’s QHSE processes and procedures to develop and maintain ISO9001:2015 accreditation, and to implement, develop and maintain ISO14001 and ISO45001 accredited systems

  • Monitor, evaluate, and implement H&S legislation and ensure systems and procedures are in place to meet legal compliance

  • Develop and manage provision of all QHSE training to ensure employees understand the QHSE systems in place and their responsibilities in adhering to them

  • Work proactively with all areas of the business to establish and maintain a program of continuous improvement around QHSE

  • Ensure that rigorous risk assessment and accident management systems are in place to identify hazards and ensure that appropriate control measures are in place

  • Discuss areas for improvement with relevant staff / external bodies and agree appropriate corrective action

  • Design and deliver toolbox talks

  • Ensure that data with regards to QHSE performance is effectively captured and analysed to enable improvement plans to be developed

  • Proactively collaborating with operational teams in both workshop and clients’ sites during the project lifecycle to ensure that QHSE is considered at all stages and that relevant control measures are identified and implemented

  • Ensure accurate, comprehensive, and timely investigation and reporting of incidents/accidents, actions and follow-up including trend analysis and root cause determination

  • Work to reduce Environmental Impact of the business and improve sustainability

  • Produce succinct QHSE reporting monthly for inclusion in board pack

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing a QHSE function within a similar business is essential

  • Experience of installing, developing, and managing safety management systems and ISO registrations

  • Up to date knowledge of UK QHSE legislation

  • First rate communication and influencing skills and able to communicate at all levels

  • Flexible approach to work

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent

  • Applications from candidates holding NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent may be considered.

The calibration laboratory at TDC provides electrical, pressure, temperature, torque, and dimensional calibration services to a wide variety of customers. We require key personnel to work as part of a team with experience in the following:

 

Experience / Requirements:

  • Experience in Electrical, Pressure, Mechanical and Temperature Calibrations.

  • Significant knowledge and understanding of engineering principles, practices, and terminologies. The ability to diagnose faults within instrumentation and systems.

 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Electrical/Electronic qualification desired.

  • Experience and good working knowledge of MS Office and Windows .

  • Microsoft Excel experience essential.

  • Knowledge of Fluke Met/Team software required.

Industrial Maintenance and Contracting Electricians

Key Requirements:

  • Experienced in all aspects of Industrial Electrical Maintenance and fault finding, including equipment designed for use within potentially hazardous atmospheres.

  • Experienced in the installation of three phase and single-phase circuits/equipment.

  • The ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawings.

  • Work on your own initiative and good communication skills are essential.

 

Experience:

  • Fault finding, installation and electrical maintenance with a proven track record within the industry.

  • Marine wiring and control circuit installation or fault-finding experience advantageous.

  • Knowledge and experience of circuit breakers, generators, and PLC control systems also preferred.

  • Control panel and systems wiring, fault finding, and installation expertise.

  • Hazardous area equipment inspection and maintenance experience, CompEx Ex01 – 04 levels.

 

Qualifications:

  • Fully time served and qualified in relevant electrical discipline

  • BS 7671 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.

  • Minimum ONC or NVQ/SVQ Level 3 qualified.

  • CompEx Certification
