
TDC Aberdeen is currently recruiting for a Welding Equipment Service Engineer.
Required for repair and calibration of all types of electric arc-welding equipment. This position may suit a competent maintenance electrician.
Key Requirements:
Experienced in all aspects of Electric Arc Welding Equipment maintenance and fault finding, including equipment designed for MMA, MIG, TIG and Sub-Arc processes
Repair and troubleshoot electric AC/DC welding inverters
Experience in providing service and calibration of arc welding equipment
The ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawings
Work on your own initiative and good communication skills are essential
Experience:
Fault finding, installation and electrical maintenance of arc welding equipment with a proven track record within the industry
Fault-finding experience of inverter-controlled welding equipment
Knowledge of MMA/MIG/TIG Sub-Arc welding methods
Knowledge and experience of calibration procedures also preferred for our workshop and on-site at client’s premises
Control and systems wiring, fault finding, and installation expertise would be advantageous
May suit experienced maintenance electrician with good fault-finding skills
Qualifications:
Fully time served and qualified in relevant electrical discipline
BS 7671 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
Minimum ONC or NVQ/SVQ Level 3 qualified
3rd Party OEM Welding Equipment Service training desirable
This is a permanent, full time role based in Aberdeen with frequent travelling in and around the local area as necessary. A company vehicle will be provided to the successful applicant. Therefore, applicants must hold a current UK driving licence.
