our people
Our people are our greatest asset.
TDC is committed to being a best practice employer. We recognise that, as a service company, our employees are indeed our greatest asset. To ensure we provide the highest level of customer care, we are committed to ensuring we have a skilled workforce in-place.
Our company invests significantly in staff training programs, particularly in the maintenance and installation of safety critical Hazardous Area IECEx / ATEX ‘explosion proof’ equipment. CompEx and AEMT training programmes are implemented and regularly attended by all TDC engineers working with this technology.
We strongly believe, that to retain staff and uphold a competent, motivated and empowered workforce, it is essential we invest in their future development by providing training relevant to their vocation. Enhancing our employees’ knowledge and skills, assists us achieve our goals, aligned with our mission.
Diversification
With our roots firmly established in electrical rotating equipment repair and overhaul, diversification has been considered key to our long-term success. Supporting our strategy for growth, our company has progressively developed organically by continuous infrastructure re-investment and staff development.
To enhance our capabilities and strengthen our competitive advantage, further expansion has been augmented by carefully chosen strategic acquisitions, with horizontal integration of several other complementary specialist service lines.
The major down-turn in the Oil & Gas industry has led to many changes within the sector. Several engineering service companies have been compelled to rationalise and consolidate to help alleviate the immediate problem. Consequently, many have now diminished their long-established skill base which previously supported this sector.
TDC has not taken this approach. We have strategically made every effort to retain our high skills base and commit to staff training and development throughout. Moreover, our organisation offers innovative and competitive cost-saving solutions to our clients, further enhanced by our value-added integrated engineering capabilities.
Our company is proud to be one of the largest independent multi-service engineering organisations in Scotland, where we are well structured and fully-equipped to meet the demands of our clients
